Provided front-end leadership for a range of National Park Service web applications, including NPS.gov, Live Maps, eTix, NPS Order, and RAPIDS.
Led the UI build for the LiveMap application (2020–2023) using Angular 9 and Angular Material. I refined the UX and visual design, then implemented the interface so park rangers could generate real-time maps from national datasets.
Created a greenfield reusable application template so other teams could ship faster. It packaged NPS design guidelines and a ready-to-use UI framework to keep interfaces consistent across applications. I used strong visual judgment to match established NPS.gov standards, even when formal documentation was limited.
Established a reusable UI pattern and visual language (color, typography, states) aligned to NPS.gov standards, with accessibility considerations built into the styling decisions.
